Whatever the model or to make many of us see what car enthusiasts do to their cars. Computer chips will be installed to get more horsepower. Intake manifold will be replaced by aftermarket examples to the same goal. Performance Exhaust replaces the stock version. Body kits will be added to give the car a more aggressive look. Custom wheels will be added. The full suspension will be lowered so that literally scrapes the bottom of the car on the road every time the driver goes over a bump. Finally, in some cases, the entire rear seat removed to a stereo that can be heard six blocks away to meet.
All these changes have one thing in common: they cost money, and lots of it. As a car guy myself, I’m an exception, because I prefer cars that remain as they are designed to: Factory stock. I have been an active member of the Volkswagen Club for several years. We welcome all years of the VW, old and new. I drive a 2007 Passat and 1969 classic air-cooled Beetle. Both my car bone stock, just as they were when they rolled off the assembly line in Germany. When replacing parts needed, I am 40 years of reproduction, to plant bugs me and my dealer to stop all the Volkswagen Passat, but the original parts. Read the rest of this entry »
