It has a bit more inventory horsepower and torque that the six however I have seen a bit more mechanical issues with this engine, still few and far between I’ve seen largely head gasket points with this engine. As a V8 it does have a lot of room for horsepower increases and this engine is extra extensively used (ie. Dodge ram, Dodge Durango, Dodge Dakota) so components can be a little cheaper.
