Mercedes-Benz SLK and the Audi TT two-seater roadsters are the key to this day. But are we missing someone? Everyone from … BMW, maybe? Z3 popular from the 1990s are long gone, and the E85 Z4 for, for me, not very interesting. Z4 E89 is a very different animal. Limited production BMW Z8, an engine based off the 400-horsepower BMW M5 E39, is a hot car, so BMW has to think they have a Z roadster that would not be “limited production” and people actually pay to build less than $ 100,000 to get one.
2011 BMW Z4 interior is much like the Z8 from the late 1990s, with light brushed aluminum finish and leather seats are comfortable (or imitation leather seats if you do not choose Premium Package). The exterior has a very clean lines with a slightly rounded corner at the back like the Z8 from back in the day. The steering wheel does not feel too big, but has a style like you would find in a stock BMW M3 or M5. Z4 is available in three trim levels: Two levels of trim (Z4 sDrive30i and Z4 sDrive35i) is the atmospheric N52 inline-6 ??engine, while one of them (Z4 sDrive35is) comes with the N54 twin-turbocharged inline 6 as U place in a 335iS.
Okay, so we have a machine down. Can we look at the horsepower and torque on this puppy? Of course we can, with the Z4 sDrive30i) equipped with a 3.0-liter (again, usually atmospheric) inline-6 ??cylinder engine 260 horsepower and 230 lbs.-ft of Pepping. of torque. SDrive35i is equipped with a 300 hp engine as the same twin-turbo 335i stock. The fat sDrive35is comes with 35 extra horses, punches to 335 hp and 332 lb-ft. of torque. The Z4 sDrive35is is the only model to come standard with dual clutch 7-speed transmission while the transmission is optional on the sDrive35i. Acceleration from 0-60 mph in sDrive35is lasted just under 5 seconds, which is about the same time line as stock 135i, Z4 weighs slightly more.
Performance and fuel economy go hand in hand for cars like the BMW Z4. All three models are reasonably fuel contracts with top-of-the-line sDrive35is about 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway – not too bad for a roadster with much power, and it’s a hardtop retractable convertible.
This function is pretty simple when it comes to cars like the BMW Z4. Hands-free Bluetooth (which is standard on the Premium Package), iPod integration as an option [withdrawn] HDD-based navigation system, LED taillights and 18-inch alloy wheels are a few options, but I could go on and on. Also, like any other BMW models, a feature that really strikes me is Comfort Access feature, which is very similar to the Mercedes Keyless Go, you leave the keyfob in your pocket, thusly touch handle, and press Start / Stop button; car come to life. Pretty cool, is not it?
What is the point I in 2011 BMW Z4? For one thing, it is beautiful, more beautiful than the previous model, it is very quick off the line, even for £ 3000 car, and almost all the options you can search on a 2-seater roadster, especially 4-year / 50, 000 maintenance free miles. What is love? Come on, even the car has a retractable hardtop, what do you mean the car is “difficult to maintain?”
